There is nothing like coming home and even though it's only been a month it's great to be surrounded by friends and family again. I hope to do several longer updates while I'm back, with pictures, but for now you get another short update from the phone @ my sisters couch.
I head back on the 9th of Jan so there will be plenty of time.

Three weeks in...
Finally a moment to update. Unfortunately since arriving all electronic devices except cell phones were taken away making it impossible to update. However I am now the proud owner of an iphone which makes updates possible but not particularly easy (we don't have a lot of time).
However on to more important matter, basic training! It's been amazing so far, every moment is a new physical and mental challenge. We were awarded our platoon flag today, something of a big deal. Normally these are awarded based on merit at around the four week mark, we were told however due to our hard work and good academic scores we would be awarded it early in week two. Go us!
It's tough but rewarding here. I'm both happy and challenged. I have a lot of stories to tell, however those will have to wait until I'm not typing on a phone.
I'm back in Vancouver on the 18th expect more then and thanks for your interest.
